Beam Profile Equipment and ISE 17025 Accreditation

Modified on Thu, 22 May at 11:00 AM

The Problem:

Our Quality Department requires our Beam Profiling equipment to be ISO 17025 accredited.

The Solution:

There are no governing bodies such as NIST that regulate calibrations for beam profiling equipment. These devices are calibrated to internal standards only, which does not allow them to be added to a scope for ISO 17025 accreditation. Ophir’s ISO 17025 accreditation only applies to their Power/Energy meter equipment that does have traceability to NIST and other governing bodies.
